Tomatoes, berries and cucumbers are in their prime during summer.  It's only ashame that fresh, ripe produce only lasts a few months, so I've discovered canning.   When summer is over, I'll be able to enjoy strawberry jam, tomato sauce, pickles, and some great relish.
