All food events aren’t alike. Believe me, we’ve been to more than our fair share and C-CAP’s annual benefit is one of our favorites. Not just because it’s a great cause (it is!), but also because founder Richard Grausman always manages to corral an impressive bevy of New York’s best chefs to all cook under one roof at the same time. This year, on Tuesday, March 3rd, everyone from Jonathan Waxman to Markus Glocker, Rich Torrisi, John Fraser, Michael White (and we could go on) will be strutting their stuff to honor restaurant veterans, Dick Parsons and Alexander Smalls. And, of course, the talented Marcus Samuelsson, who also sits on the board of directors, will be on hand, too.
More importantly, all proceeds from the feast will go to culinary scholarships for students in at-risk schools. Need another good reason to buy a ticket? It happens to be C-CAP’s 25th anniversary and what better way to celebrate than by pigging out.
