Hill Country Chicken’s Maker’s Mark Bourbon Pecan Pie

If you’ve ever been to Hill Country Chicken, you’ve probably glanced over the glass counter and admired the adorable, mini pies right near the register.  Perhaps you passed them over in the face of a bucket of fried chicken and biscuits.  Big mistake.  Their pies are just as good (if not better!) and more creative than their chicken.  There’s a savory-sweet Apple Pie with a Cheddar Cheese crust or the Margarita Pie with a Pretzel Crust.  Right now, we’re crushing on the boozy Maker’s Mark Bourbon Pecan Pie.  The whiskey adds a profound richness we can’t find anywhere else. Best of all,  they sell all of their pies year round.
