If you’re looking for the perfect date spot, this is your guy.  There’s just something about the open kitchen, brick oven and dripping candles that draw couples back time and time again. But it’s the Tuscan fare and the open fire cooking that has kept us coming back over the years.  Everything – the skate, the leg of lamb, the tomatoes – is touched by some form of an open flame. Owner and chef Frank DeCarlo embraces Italian clasics, like terracotta-baked cuttlefish with parsley, oven-grilled whole orata, and spit-roasted leg of lamb.  And, of course, there’s a spectrum of pizzas all cooked in the brick oven.  There’s a varied selection of wines from all over Italy to pair with your meal.
Don’t Miss Dish: polpi in purgatorio (whole baby octopus); spit-roasted suckling pig; spaghetti with langoustines, & brick oven pizza
End With: Bread pudding
Drink This: Comprehensive Italian wine list
Price: $$$
Occasion: Date night, dinner with parents, dinner with friends
Bonus: For a more casual affair, there’s a wine bar downstairs that doesn’t require reservations with a great selection of Italian wines and small plates.
