Ricky Smith - Creative Director, Contributing Writer – Restaurant Boy
Growing up in a small town in Ohio, Ricky didn’t have much opportunity to explore a burgeoning restaurant scene. Now, while pursuing a degree in journalism at New York University, he is determined to uncover all that New York City has to offer. A semester in Italy taught him to appreciate a personalized dining experience complete with good company and exciting new foods.
Sarah Zorn – Associate Editor & Contributing Writer
Sarah was born and raised in NYC, and is the bonafide product of a family that started planning their next meal as soon as they finished their last. She eventually moved to a far-flung corner of Brooklyn for the chance to own a fig tree, where she now lives with her husband and (no offense to the husband or the fig tree), the love of her life — a hound mix named Rowdy.
Lauren McKee – Contributing Writer
Born in D.C., educated in Philly, and a post-college resident of New York, Lauren was an East Coast girl through and through. But in 2007, she packed two suitcases for London, where she spent four years mostly eating and trying to decode British recipes. Now a graduate student in NYU’s Food Studies program, she is ready to rediscover the city’s food scene and share her findings with Restaurant Girl. She lives in Gramercy with her husband, who accompanies her on dining adventures more often than he would like.
