C-CAP Benefit 2009
Drew Nieporent is the deserved honoree this year. Nieporent, who helms the Myriad Group (Tribeca Grill, Corton and Nobu) has made significant contributions to C-CAP and underserved high school students with opportunities in the restaurant industry. He will be receiving C-CAP's Honors Award while guests taste away.
Now let's get to the food, which we expect will be exceptional, considering the roster of chefs. Jean Francois Bruel of Daniel will be serving a beet and vodka-cured hamachi with crushed walnuts, horseradish, and tio pepe sabayon, Aureole's Christopher Lee will be cooking up pastrami pork belly sliders with roulette cheese and cornichon dressing and John Fraser of Dovetail will be offering duck sausage with cranberry mustard. To finish, Nancy Olsen of Gramercy Tavern's chocolate peanut butter crunch cake.
Tickets are available for $500, while VIP tickets are $600 and $1000. C-CAP events are perpetually sold out, so call 212-974-7111 soon, or visit their website at www.ccapinc.org.
