The Beagle

There’s something strangely timeless and classic about this East Village spot with pre-Prohibition cocktails and Greenmarket menu where the drinks are just as seasonal and ambitious as the food.  For fall, there’s several must-try libations at The Beagle, including the “Reforma,” a soothing blend of Tequila, Honey, Lemon, Ginger and Pear, which you might want to consider next time you get a sore throat. (Just saying.)   The Beagle also boasts one of the biggest sherry lists in New York.  Right now, they’re serving a libation dubbed the “Second Marriage,” with Bourbon, Calvados, Pedro Ximénez Sherry, and bitters.
